The Last Stretches
A downloadable game
My first attempt at making a visual novel. This was actually a part of my classwork I did in uni for my Digital Narrative module.
Done in Renpy. Sprites and illustrated CG is by yours truly.
Some scenes are taken from the game itself, and the music is from the FFXIV OST composed by Masayoshi Soken.

WARNING: CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR FFXIV SHADOWBRINGERS MSQ, SPECIFICALLY ON THE QUEST TITLED 'SHADOWBRINGERS' (final quest for base 5.0). Also trigger warning for blood, major character death and depictions of vomiting.
The Warrior of Light and his comrades are on their last stretches of their quest to bring back the night in the First and avert the Eighth Umbral Calamity. With the Ascian, Emet-Selch being the strongest unsundered being standing, and the Warrior of Light who is almost this close to transforming into a sin eater due to light aether corruption, how will he confront with this dilemma?

I was poking around on itch to see if anyone had made some FFXIV visual novels and found this one! Really enjoyed playing through and seeing your WoL and his party...oof that bad ending....poor guys. I'd love to see a continuation in the aftermath of either ending, this is super cool! :D
